very rosy ~ incoco nail strips

This manicure is a perfect way to continually remind myself that it’s spring… as I shiver waiting for my car to warm up in the morning. I got my hands (fingernails?) on some of Incoco’s 2013 Spring Collection nail strips. Here is Very Rosy from the collection, a pretty red, pink, and green floral. I used my new Madewell for Birchbox Nail Emery Board to shape the manicure… as equally and floral and spring-ey!

mitazi spring break night

IMG_4330

Last Thursday I attended an event at Mitazi Salon on Clark. They were having a Spring Break night with some appetizers from Meatloaf Bakery, wine provided by Lincoln Park Marketplace, and desserts from Austrian Bakery (all on Clark). They also were offering some fun spring break deals- I got a free nail polish change! I picked Essie’s Play Date- a fun purple color perfect for Spring!

It was nice to have someone switch my polish off for once.. I never get manicures! My friend Meghan (hand pictured below) went for a classic light pink manicure.

This place is adorable and the staff was great! They were all so funny and friendly, it was such a delight hanging out with these ladies for the night.

I also got a half body spray tan for $10, such a good deal! I have never gotten sprayed by a real live person before and it was a little nerve-wracking standing in front of someone completely half naked haha. However, the woman who sprayed me was very professional and made me feel completely comfortable. The actual spray tan was also fantastic. I am pretty pale right now (it’s March and it’s been a long winter) so she made sure not to make me too dark so it looked natural but still like I had some color. The color lasted 4-5 showers. I will definitely be going back there for a spray tan.

I highly recommend this place… located just north of Fullerton on Clark it’s a great Lincoln Park salon for pretty much anything you need to get done!

happy st. patty’s day!

I know SPD isn’t until tomorrow, but we are celebrating today! We will probably be doing a lot of day drinking so if you are doing the same- keep it simple. One green piece of clothing, a black, white, or tan piece and then some gold jewelry to even out the look. If you are going to neglect the green piece of clothing, check out these posts for ideas on how to accessorize green. Have fun!
