some vegas looks I created while planning out what to pack and what I still need to buy!
This look is for walking the strip during the day. As much fun as Vegas is at night time, you need to see the strip during the day… and there is so much to see! Whether you are riding rollercoasters on top of the Stratosphere or walking through the shopping malls inside the massive hotel complexes, you need to be comfy and cool. Start off with a cute sleeveless blouse, shorts with lace detailing, a pop of color necklace and some gold bangles. You’ll also need comfy shoes (you have NO idea how big the hotel malls are!), a crossbody bag to hold your essentials, and a hat and sunglasses to shade yourself from the desert sun when you are outside. You will be the cutest tourist in all the strip!
This look is when you are spending your days away in the casino. Whats up with the pants and scarf?! It’s Vegas, so its usually hot, right? Well, the casinos are FREEZING! They want to keep you alert and cool so that you can keep gamblin your money away! Keep yourself defrosted by wearing cute colored denim, a shiny statement shirt, and throw a pashmina scarf in your satchel tote to wrap around your arms when you get cold. Try some patterned smoking slippers on your feet.. and dress up your arms- lots of bangles and a big watch so that you don’t lose track of the time (you gotta get your nighttime outfit on soon, and there are no clocks in the casinos).
This look is strictly for the high roller- not exactly me! This is how I would dress/ pack if I had some suga daddy payin for my trip and takin me out on the town! Sky high heels, an elegant black maxi dress, and a sparkly clutch to keep some $100 chips in. Accessorize with dramatic lashes, red lipstick and nails, drop earrings and a big poofy bun on your head. Maybe one day…
This is more my style. This trip to Vegas will probably include some nightclubs of some sort… for as long as we can handle them! This look includes a bandage mini dress in a bright color, tall clunky pumps (not ideal for dancing, but who will be able to feel their feet anyways?!) and a cross body bag in a fun color. Throw your hair into a sleek high pony and put some extreme bangles on your wrist and flashy studs in your ears. This look is complete with a smoky eye and bright pink lip. Ready to party the night away until morning!
Until my next Vegas inspiration… we are going Labor Day weekend so there might be more musings between now and then! xo -R
