watermelon drinking habits

in the spirit of summer, my friend T and I decided to create some watermelon jello shots.

we bought 12 limes (only used 11), a bottle of Seagrams vodka, and a watermelon jello packet. we also bought a watermelon.

how to:

1. wash limes and halve.

2. Pull out the insides of the limes and clean them out- this is a long long process and it would be a shame if you had any cuts on your hands. lime juice everywhere… a huge pain. but worth it! lay on a cookie tray.

3. make the jello. we followed the recipe exactly on the jello box except used one cup of vodka for the cold water part.

4. pour jello into lime cups- how precious do they look! like little watermelon halves. thats why we used limes.

5. place in fridge for 24 hours to form. after 24 hours, you can cut into half or thirds to create more and to make them easier to eat.

we have a lot of beer and leftovers. speaking of leftovers… we had some leftover vodka and a watermelon laying around. so we decided to soak the watermelon with vodka. what a fun summer treat… can’t wait until tonight! TGIF!

Casual.

To soak the watermelon, cut a hole, jam the bottle of vodka in there, and then let it sit overnight. yum, yum, vodka.
