Easter is over but I am not ready to give up pastels quite yet–so I decided to water marble my nails! I used some colors from the Pirates of the Caribbean collection by OPI as well as I Want to be A-Lone Star from the Texas collection. I will give you the basics of water marbling and also add a clip from OPI’s website with more detail if you want to learn how to marble.
First, paint your nails white as a base.
Then, line your nails with tape so that the paint does not get on your skin when you dip your nails.
Drip a few colors of the polish that you want to do into a cup of water. Use a toothpick to swirl around a design that you want on your nail. Dip your nail into the design. Swirl the toothpick around the top of the water to clean the water for your next nail. Repeat for all of your nails, playing around with different designs!
Shake excess water droplets off your nails. Wait for it to dry and then take off the tape. Finish up with a shiny top coat and you are good to go!
